Annual Awards Dinner Celebrates Global Community

Annual Awards Will Celebrate Global Community

The Annual Fall Dinner of Centreville Immigration Forum is an opportunity for leaders and residents of northern Virginia to enjoy a special evening supporting the welcoming spirit that makes our region strong.   With good food, entertainment, and a brief program, CIF will honor leaders from immigrant backgrounds.  The theme is “Celebrating Our Global Community.”

Plans for the Dinner include awards to community leaders who came from around the world to enrich life and opportunities here.  During the next weeks, the selection committee will choose from many groups and individuals who have been nominated for awards.  Watch this space for details.

The Dinner will be Friday, September 22, at the International Country Club, 13200 Lee-Jackson Highway, Fairfax, with social hour and hors d’ouevres beginning at 6:30 pm.  There will be special music during the social hour, and greetings from community leaders and elected officials.   MC for the evening will be Walter Tejada, former chair of the Arlington County Board of Supervisors and a member of the Board of the Metropolitan Washington Airports Authority.
